「盛事旅遊Link滿Fun」Scheme
In recent years, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has actively promoted the event economy, and the association, in conjunction with the tourism sector, has engaged in robust communication and collaboration aimed at transforming popularity into economic benefits. In late October 2024, the association, together with the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong and the Hotel Owners Association, announced the launch of a program titled 「盛事旅遊Link滿Fun」.
At this initial stage, the program will introduce 14 in-depth tourism routes that showcase the distinctive characteristics of Hong Kong, with promotional efforts directed toward Mainland China through China Mobile. These itineraries will include visits to the member shopping malls of the association.
Currently, five member shopping malls are participating in this initiative: ifc Mall, K11 Musea, Langham Place, The ONE, and Temple Mall. In contrast to conventional shopping experiences, these member malls will provide dedicated staff to welcome and assist the participating tour groups, offering insights into the unique features of the malls, addressing tourists' inquiries, and distributing a variety of cash vouchers, shopping coupons, or small gifts. The objective is to deliver surprises and "heartwarming" services to travelers, thereby emphasizing the appeal of "experiential consumption." The association encourages additional member malls to participate in the program and urges retailers to collaborate with member malls to create more distinctive shopping experiences for travelers.
