Chairman's Feedback on the Half-yearly Economic Report 2008
(香港訊，二零零八年八月十五日) – 就政府公佈二零零八年第二季度的本地生產總值初步數字，香港零售管理協會主席關百豪先生有以下回應：
- 數字顯示受到外圍經濟影響，香港的本地生產總值進一步放緩。
- 第二季的經濟增長只有4.2%，而通脹率則達5.7%，顯示經濟實質增長已被蠶食至近年新低。
- 香港零售業正面臨自沙士以後的另一危機：在高通脹壓力下，營運成本不斷飈升，而消費意欲則在持續下降，香港正面臨滯脹的危機，令零售商的經營環境十分惡劣。
- 預期外圍經濟環境持續低迷，環球股市及樓市繼續偏軟，財富效益消失，下半年時間，消費者將持審慎態度，協會預期本年全年零售總銷貨量將是低單位數字甚至是零增長。
