2005 Service & Courtesy Award
The HKRMA Service & Courtesy Award was introduced in 1986 and has been one of the most actively supported events by members of the Association and the trade. The Programme has been successful, over the years, in promoting the awareness of service within the retail industry. It has become a well-recognized annual activity that retail practitioners anticipate with keenness and excitement. The main objectives of the programme are to upgrade the standard of customer service for frontline retail staff and to increase the service competitiveness of Hong Kong's retail industry.
A 3-minute video clip on each of the eighteen Service & Courtesy Award winners and "The Best Team Performance Award" winners have been produced and hosted on the Association's website. It is hoped that the videos will give a more 'lively' feature to the winners and hence set role models for our retail industry to be shared by a wide audience. These winners not only set exemplary examples to fellow retail frontline service practitioners for their outstanding service performance but also in sharing their success with you on an international context. These winners truly make us proud of the premier service standards Hong Kong's retailing has to offer and what that continues to make us the renowned Shoppers' Paradise of Asia.
2005 Service Retailers of the Year
The HKRMA Mystery Shoppers Programme was introduced in 1996 as a benchmarking tool for retailers. It is a first of its kind in Hong Kong in terms of its scale and coverage and allows retailers to benchmark their service performance with other operators within the industry. The main objectives of the Programme are to improve the overall standard of customer service in the retail industry and in recognizing outstanding retailers for being quality service providers. Since the launch of the Programme, over 31,000 mystery shoppers assessment visits to retail outlets throughout Hong Kong have been carried out.
Via the HKRMA Mystery Shoppers Programme, a 'Service Retailer of the Year' for the overall industry and for each retail business category will be selected. This is the retailer who has achieved the highest average percentage among all participating companies during the assessment year. Videos on all the 2005 Service Retailers of the Year have been produced and hosted on the Association's website. CEOs of these companies will share with you their experiences in achieving service excellence. It is hoped that the videos will give a 'lively' feature to these outstanding retailers and to share their success with a wide audience.
